Westfield Family Physicians take a special interest in foreign travel and offer travel advice and vaccines. It is not required to be an established patient to take advantage of this service. Because some vaccines require more than one dose over a period of time, we encourage travelers to call for a travel consult well before their trip.

Whether planning a business trip to China or a week at a Caribbean resort, taking the time to find out what illnesses you may be exposed to and learning how to minimize these risks can make the difference between a successful or disastrous trip. We will schedule an appointment with our travel nurse who can review the current recommendations with you, including important guidelines to prevent food and water borne illnesses, illnesses transported by insects and vaccine preventable disease.

We carry all recommended vaccines including Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid, Polio and Yellow Fever. Although these services may not be covered by your insurance, the investment in your trip can be priceless.
