An Erie, PA native, Ryan and his wife Ashley currently live in Ashville, NY. They both enjoy running, kayaking, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and their dog Fiver. They are active in their church in Lakewood.
What is the most interesting place you have been to and why?
"In my early 20s I had the opportunity to live in Kenya for several months. I stayed mainly in Nairobi but traveled throughout the country. It's an incredibly diverse country in just about every way - landscapes, cultures, languages, etc. I had the chance to not only sightsee on safaris, hiking, visiting the Indian Ocean, etc. - but also to put down some shallow roots for those few months rather than just passing through, allowing me to experience the day-to-day culture. It was an incredible journey!"
When you are not at work at WFP, what can you be found doing?
"My wife Ashley and I live in Ashville. I enjoy running, traveling, home projects (to a certain extent), and searching out coffee or anything coffee-flavored. I also do some graphic design for our church in Lakewood."
